Courtney strives to create an open environment that emphasizes safety, partnership, and respect. He takes a relational, psychodynamic, and systems-based approach that allows him to gain a holistic view of each client's unique experiences. Court helps his clients identify patterns and behaviors that lead to lasting change while exploring strengths and working toward therapeutic goals.

Courtney identifies as a queer trans man and is passionate about providing gender-affirming therapy that allows for all nuances of the trans experience. He has a background working with a wide range of individuals across various racial, ethnic, sexual orientation, gender, religious, and physical ability identities. Through a strong therapeutic partnership, Court works to establish a safe and affirming environment for all clients, especially those navigating the complexities of their identities. 

Court graduated from the University of Louisville’s Kent School of Social Work with a Master’s of Science in Social Work. Before becoming a therapist, he spent a decade working in community organizations and youth development agencies. He has also done advocacy work for NYC’s runaway and homeless youth and has participated in roundtables with City Hall which focused on improving the mental health of New Yorkers.
