Devin Scott
Advanced Clinical Intern
He/Him
Devin sees his job as activating the inner wisdom clients already have about self-healing. To that end, Devin’s modalities aim to help clients become more grounded in their body wisdom: mindfulness based psychotherapy (learning to quiet your mind and listen to yourself), inner family systems (understanding your various drives and finding your Self), compassion focused treatment (becoming your best friend), and somatic therapy (releasing trauma stored in your body).
Devin is currently completing his master’s in Social Services at Bryn Mawr College. Prior to this, Devin received his juris doctorate from Temple University and bachelors’ in Math and Economics from Drexel University. Devin had a 10 year career in research and analytics spanning the education, child care, legal services, finance, and technology industries.
Devin believes in holistic healing, and has training and an outside practice in other wellness areas: reiki, energy healing, meditation, breathwork, cranial sacral therapy, emotional freedom technique (“tapping”), kinesiology, yoga, sound healing, health and wellness coaching, personal training, nutrition, corrective exercise, and assisted stretching. While he doesn’t integrate all these skills into the practice of psychotherapy here at IHI, the background helps him to meet clients in the mode, pace, and style of healing that is right for them at any given time.
