Joey studied clinical social work at Columbia University. His approach to therapy is relational and trauma-informed. He prioritizes emotional meeting, understanding, seeing, and attunement to his client’s feelings first. Cultivating a therapeutic relationship from a foundation of safety, empathy, and acceptance is key to healing. Joey’s areas of focus include relationships, complex trauma, addictions, and codependency. He is also a painter and enjoys exploring clients’ artistic practices and blocks.
